DOST, BCHRD enjoin consortium members to participate in Outstanding Health Research and Best Mentor in Health Research Awards

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region V and the Bicol Consortium for Health Research and Development (BCHRD) enjoin consortium members to participate in the Outstanding Health Research and Best Mentor in Health Research Awards.
DOST V and BCHRD would also like to inform qualified health professors, researchers and medical practitioners that the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST-PCHRD) has extended the deadlines for the awards as follows:

1.) Best Mentor in Health 20 February 2017 27 February 2017 Research Award
2.) Alberto G. Romualdez, Jr. 24 February 2017 03 March 2017 Outstanding Health Research Award (AROHRA)
The Best Mentor in Health Research Award offered biennially, recognizes the vital role of a research mentor (trainer, preceptor, adviser, advocate, and participant/initiator) in health R&D implementation, promotion and utilization for at least five (5) years. Sharing knowledge and skills, instilling values and attributes, and inspiring those involved in the research process, create the enabling environment and contribute to capacity-building in health research.
Meanwhile, AROHRA is classified into two (2) categories: Biomedical Research and Health Services Research that have great contributions to:
1. Impact on Health/Quality of Life
2. Economic Benefits
3. S&T benefits, and
4. Technology adoption and utilization.
All contest entries are required to use the prescribed nomination and recommendation forms (no alteration). BCHRD shall screen the nominations (c/o Prof. Michael V. Montealegre, Consortium Director) for endorsement by the Chair to PCHRD.
