DOST V, DOST PCIEERD, LGU-Naga collaborate for the Bicol Science and Technology Centrum (BSTC)

The Department of Science and Technology Region V (DOST V), Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD), and the Local Government of Naga collaborated for the project “Revitalization and Improvement of BSTC”. The project is set to revive the operations of the BSTC; provide a learning environment to enhance appreciation of science and promote the Bicol culture; and strengthen science and culture tourism in the Bicol Region. The project partners led the inspection and walk-through of the newly revitalized BSTC on 18 May 2022 in Naga City, Camarines Sur.

DOST Secretary Fortunato T. de la Peña, DOST V Regional Director Rommel R. Serrano, Naga City Mayor Nelson Legacion, and other DOST officials and staff graced the said event. The Secretary expressed with high hopes that reopening this center to the general public can strengthen the youth's appreciation of science, technology, and innovation.
