ParSU developers showcase automobile innovation at TransDI demo day

Mr. Jose C. Tunay, Jr. III and Mr. Michael C. Barbecho from Partido State University (ParSU) presented their technology called "Hydraulic Leaf Spring Installer and Remover" during the virtual demo day of the "Transforming R&D Outputs into Innovations through Technopreneurship and Customer Validation (TransDI)" project on 06 April 2022.

With their innovation which can improve automobile repair efficiency, Tunay, Jr. III and Barbecho are currently looking for industry partners to help them commercialize their technology. TransDI was initiated by DOST-MIMAROPA and is currently implemented by DOST-V, together with other DOST Regional Offices in the country.

The TransDI project capacitates 2017 and 2019 RICE Winners to protect their Intellectual Property (IP), transfer and commercialize their technologies, link them to potential adoptor-investors and further engage them to other programs and services of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).

The participants from ParSU were onboarded to the TransDI project after winning the Industrial Design Category during the 2017 Regional Invention Contest and Exhibits (RICE).
