During the closing ceremonies, Engr. Pe?a encouraged the participants to take part in the 2015 Bicol Regional Invention Contests and Exhibits (BRICE) considering the ample time to prepare for their creative researches and R&D outputs. With the limited number of applications along patent and utility model, this activity can open windows of opportunities for Bicolanos to come up with functional and commerciable products and processes and join the ranks of famous Bicolano inventors.
In her closing message, Ms. Haidee Pimentel, Head Teacher, Science Department, ANHS extended her sincerest gratitude for the active support of DOST personnel at all levels (provincial, regional and national) for this school-level activity. This has been their second collaboration with DOST (the first one was the conduct of enrichment class/review last Sept.16-17) and she looks forward for more S&T initiatives and tie-up with DOST in the Municipality of Aroroy.
DOST V encourages more secondary schools to implement ISP and other similar undertakings to benefit more students and S&T partners in the region. On its part, DOST will to continue to find better ways of doing things particularly along S&T inventions and innovations. (D.A.Pe?a, DOST V).
