"The DOST-V, through the Provincial S&T Office-Sorsogon, inks a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Mr. Pol Bread and Butter Café under the Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP)". | 16 May 2023

This is part of the pre-implementation of the SETUP project entitled “Enhancement of Capability and Operation of Mr. Pol’s Café,” which was participated in by Ms. May C. Borromeo, the cooperator, and Ms. Maria Celestina J. Cariño, the co-maker.

The project aims to acquire appropriate equipment that will help the firm comply with food safety standards and improve services through upgraded processes and operations. With the growing market demand, the firm, with the assistance of DOST, spearheaded improvements in product quality and expanded its product line to offer the best services to its clients.

Provincial S&T Director Engr. Sandro B. Noguera emphasized the need for the commitment of the cooperator and co-maker for the project and to ensure compliance with the obligations as stipulated in the MOA to attain the objectives of the project.

Be one of the SETUP beneficiaries! A nationwide strategy of the DOST to encourage and assist micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to enhance operational efficiency through technology interventions that will boost productivity and competitiveness.
